SDS has been involved in telephony systems and VoIP (Voice over IP) for a number of years now. We have vast experience on Nortel, Avaya and Cisco systems ranging from small offices right up to large multi site corporates. Digital Telephony offers customers many advantages over standard telephone lines including fully functional switchboards, digital voicemail systems, integration of voice and data and use of existing Cat5e cabling.

The main advantage of Digital Telephony is reducing call charges when in a multi site environment. As all telephony communication securely travels through your Internet links, call charges do not apply. Savings on VoIP can stretch into the thousands.

   VoIP is a way of securely marketing telephone calls over the Internet. SDS along with Avaya IP Office Telephone systems utilises this technology to connect multi site organisations and remote connections/homeworkers to the company's HQ. Telephone calls made between sites and remote staff are free and the best thing of all is that the remote extensions are part of the main telephone system, in other words they have their own internal extension number.  

The Avaya IP Office 500 is the newest fully modular telephony system from Avaya. It is designed for the small to medium business especially when expecting growth in the company. The system is modular in the sense that extra handset expansion cards can be added enabling up to 272 extensions. Multiple ISDN interfaces can be added and users have software installed on their PC to interface with their Phone and Email system.
